The work "Talking Walls" documents bullet holes in the urban space of Sarajevo – visible traces of a war that continues to shape the city's collective memory.. Surrounded by graffiti, these impacts appear like scars, subsequently covered with tattoos – an attempted gesture of superimposition, not healing. The urban space becomes a wounded body, its surface telling of violence, but also of resistance and expressiveness.
These photographs are a silent reminder that peace is not a state of being that can be taken for granted. "Talking Walls" is intended as a visual reminder: Peace cannot be taken for granted – it must be seen, understood, and protected.
