TOLERANZ
Bela Álvarez is a Mexican designer and artist currently living in Dresden. In her work, we encounter a figure named “Tolerance” that directly challenges us.
Dresden is a city steeped in history that continually reinvents itself. It is precisely here that this being invites us to integrate tolerance into our daily lives in a simple way—as a collective action that marks a true turning point: toward a virtue that brings peace to our surroundings and helps society flourish anew.
The Dresden Foreigners' Council (Ausländerrat Dresden e.V.) has been advocating for the rights and interests of people with migration and refugee experiences in Dresden since 1990. The aim of its work is to promote social cohesion and strengthen the cultural, social, and political participation of migrants and their self-advocacy. We live in a migrant society and are constructively shaping it in the Dresden area.
